Sweeping, immersive, and dynamic, Gabriel Rico imagines a futuristic landscape akin to the arid terrain and biodiversity of Southern California and Northern Baja California. Presented at the Institute of Contemporary Art, San Diego from September 25, 2021 - January 23, 2022, the exhibit includes an augmented reality coyote that maneuvers between animals, flora, and fauna native to the regions. The launch of the Institute of Contemporary Art, San Diego application allows for virtual engagement with a digital coyote. The coyote is your guide, always nearby, but never close enough to touch. For best results, launch the application at the ICA San Diego / Central space.
